I lost my best friend yesterday :(

My best friend who was also in my wedding died in a car accident yesterday. She was picking up her boyfriend from the airport in L.A. and on the way home they got into a car accident. He hit a metal pole, and she flew from the car and died at the scene.

I got a phone call from another bridesmaid in my wedding telling me the news, as I was leaving work. I broke down, I couldnt believe it. I was calling everyone and no one had saw the news. When I got home I got the call from my brother (her ex b/f they dated for 5 years) who told me it was her. I was devestated. I just talked to her on Saturday.

I saw her mother today, and oh my god I was done after that. I couldnt take it. Seeing her in so much pain, and her telling me this, I will never forget

"always tell your kids you love them ok? because you just never know"

I will always remember that. When I came home last night I just hugged my kids and cried. No one should ever have to bury their children, ever.

Remodeling

The remodeling has started on the house. But as always things do not go as planned.

The original guy was was supposed to do 7 windows. These are all facing the street, (we live on the corner) and would do the other side in 3 months. We were fine with that. But he only does 3 and says he will be back in November. So we were mad about the whole thing, to say the least. My MIL found someone else who could finish them and do our poorch. He just has to come by and see how much work to give a price.

The windows so far look very nice, and I can't wait until they are all done. After the windows are done, then the front porch. We are getting it enclosed so it will be outside but kind of inside if that makes sense? Then we will get new stucco around the house.

Next spring/summer we will start on our kitchen (hopefully) if all goes well. new cabinets. floors. Then our laundry room, new floors. Then little stuff. Everything will probably take 2 years + but we're ok with that, there's no rush.

Down the line we would like a garage, we just have a driveway now. Thats way down the road though because that will cost the most. I'm just glad that things are moving along

Thank you everyone for the comments on my last post, I appreciate it.

I feel a lot better. I got a good nights sleep, and when I woke up the migraine was completely gone. It was like it was never there. My history with headaches is horrible. Ive always suffered with migraines, I never get a slight headache, its always a full blown migraine. It gets to the point where I am in tears, blurry vision, nauseated, hurts to move. Ive always been told by my dr that its due to stress. Let me tell you that when I was pregnant I had a migraine once a week because I was always stressed. But this is the first time ive had one since I had Alyssa. I think it was brought on by my job, and the horrible hours ive been getting.

I requested next week off, I actually requested it off 2 weeks before I went back to work. Im going to San Jose, I cant wait. I dont want to come back, and go back to work. I will only be at thos job until December at the latest. I signed up for school, and paid for it. I start going on September 20 or 27 not sure yet. I go once a week for 8 hours each time. I am fed up with retail, to the point where I want to pull my hair out.

So after this year, I will actually start a career. Oh and Im going to school to become a Dental Assistant.

cliffnotes

I am beyond exhausted, I need 2 days of sleep now. So here are the cliffnotes

- Haley started 1st grade this week! Shes excited, and glad to be out of the house. She has some friends from kindergarden in her class, so thats good. She was supposed to be in a new school, but everything is complicated, and she cant get in until october.

- Alyssa got her 2 month shots on her 2 month birthday. Did I blog about this? I dont remember. She looked so scared and sad, that I wanted to cry. She slept all day, which was kind of weird. I did however get a lot of cleaning done.

- I have had a migraine for 2 days non-stop. Its kind of bearable right now, but sometimes its at the point where I cant see out of my right eye. Yesterday I couldnt go into work, it was that bad. Last night I couldnt feed Alyssa, so Aaron got up with her, which was only once. I just couldnt function. I've only taken tylenol, because im afraid to take anything stronger than a pain reliever, that might possibly mess up my milk supply

- We're going to San Jose on sunday to see my grand/great grandmother. They havent seen Alyssa yet, and havent seen Haley since she was 4. Well my great grandmother anyways. My grandmother was here in March, but I was pregnant then.

Thats all I need to lay down.

Windows

After over a year we are FINALLY getting all new windows put into our house. Here is a picture of them

It's the white one. We finally got a good deal from a contractor, and he is going to put in 17 windows for only $2000.00 which is really good plus our windows have to be special ordered because they're bigger than standard sized. I cant wait, because the windows we have now look like crap. I wont dare post a before picture lol.

The Girls

God I feel like a bad mother. I didnt even blog about Haleys 6th birthday on the 8th.

She had a good day, got lots of gifts (Hannah Montana) and had a little get together. Shes still happy and still talking about her birthday.

Now Alyssa is "talking" she talks all day long, and gets mad when you dont talk back. Heres a video of her talking to me.
