Wow, I have been keeping up with all your blogs (sorry not posting comments, just have had no time)... but I have been sooo crazy busy with everything that I haven't had time to update my own... heck i barely have time to brush my hair in the mornings!
Let's see... where to begin...
WORK - crazy crazy crazy. My big annual meeting is over though. From the end of may to mid june i was working 60-80 hour weeks, including weekends trying to get all our materials out to printers and designed and what not. Then i was in cali for the meeting from the 17th to the 23rd. The meeting was good, exhausting though. the first day we were literally up for 24 hours... so you can imagine how tired i was when i got home! We did get a few perks though, the hotel was GREAT (thank you anaheim marriott) and we got to do disneyland which was a lot of fun.... with me being the biggest wimp and screaming on every ride... work should slow down for the summer though which now that i've been go go going, i don't know what to do with myself!
HOUSE - our condo closed last friday, so we are now living with my parents. the move was hectic and unorganized... not my ideal, but its over and done... we have an offer on 2 homes right now and are waiting to hear back. one is a foreclosure that the bank seems to be dragging its feet on getting a buyer, the other is a short sale that as of yesterday we were the "runner-up" in the selection. so we upped our down payment and are still waiting for an answer.
DRY CLEANER - is up and running now, almost 2 months. picking up lots of business, but its definitely long hours for rob and draining on both of us. once we start having some steady clientele and some steady income, i'm hoping it will be all worth it...
BABY - or lack thereof! not actively TTC... there's just too much going on. we barely see each other as it is so we've decided to wait til the end of the year before even talking about it anymore, which i am totally fine with...
I'm looking forward to trying to relax a little this summer, maybe hit the beach... hopefully we get the house and the craziness continues... sorry so short, but as you can probably guess by now, i'm always on the go!

It's been a week since my last blog and i don't have a lot of time to write... life has been just completely hectic lately. Work is super busy as we prepare for our big annual meeting in Cali. I get to go, which I am excited about, but the trip is the week before the closing on our condo. So I have been working longer days to get everything done for this meeting (basically i've been working from 8am - 6:30 pm everyday in an effort to not have to come in on the weekends). In between I drive DH to work, and pick him up which adds an hour in the car for me. It's a long day, let's just put it that way...
And now I am all stressed about packing/moving/finding a house! Don't get me wrong, i'm EC-STA-TIC that we sold, but of course the closing couldn't come at a worse time! This weekend I am hoping to get the packing process started, so we'll see how that goes...
In terms of house hunting, we went out Tuesday night, saw 4 properties, 2 of which we liked. Of those 2, 1 is already under contract and the other isn't and is definitely in the running... the abridged version -- a 4bed, 2bath cape in a nice nice neighborhood, sun room and has all of my "must haves". The cons to this house, the bedrooms are separated, 2 of them are on upper level, and NO formal dining room, and high taxes... so we'll see what we end up deciding, i would like to go back again and take a better look. We're going out with our realtor (who i love love, she is great) on Sunday, so hopefully we see more nice houses...
So, sorry I've been MIA, but that's basically what's going on in my life right now. the usual. craziness. LOL! guess at least its not boring and at least its keeping my mind off the big 3-0 which is getting closer everyday...

So i was reading A Lighter Shade of Green, one of the many blogs i peruse during lunch, and she was saying how she uses Google Reader to keep track of all her blogs in one place... What a fabulous invention! So off I went and Ta Da!
www.googlereader.com
The only small small gripe I have with this is that you can't post comments or view other people's comments unless you actually go to the link to the post... which I guess is ok... but at least it helps me to keep track of what i've read and what i haven't... with the nest blogs its a little harder because there are a lot of people blogging and I usually just read everyones... but for the blogspots or other types of blogs I read this is perfect!
i'm still trying to figure out some of the ins and outs of it, so if you ladies have any feedback, let me know!

Hi there!
It's been a few days that i've been completely swamped so much that i just spent an hour catching up on all the blog posts! I feel like its been forever...
Anyway, just to update quickly (since i'm still swamped here at work) -- we had a good weekend, a nice mother's day with the family on sunday, went to my gf's wedding on saturday night (love you K with your country music, you were sooo cute and looked amazing!), and of course spent time at the store... DH has had a steady number of customers coming in (no donuts as he says - meaning no days with no customers) so hopefully once some of our advertising comes out things will pick up a little more...
And, we did NO househunting this weekend... i mean its not like we have to move in 7 weeks or anything (can you tell i'm being sarcastic here?) don't get me wrong, its not that i didn't want to do any, we just haven't had the time, energy for it... we did however, get our condo appraised (for the buyer's bank) and get a tentative closing date of june 28th (which now im looking and that's a saturday, can that be right?) So i finally called the realtor yesterday and had her send us a listing of houses in our price range with my many requirements (see previous post) and she came back with like 6 houses. let's just say i'm TRYING not to be negative about this... there is one house on the list that is MUCH lower than it should be, and i saw before (i can't remember if i've mentioned it previously, i think i did...) so we're trying to find out if its still available...
Anyway, i guess i should get back to work over here... i have to leave early for my nephew's confirmation. DH is his sponsor so we need to get to the church on time tonight...

The house hunting has commenced (online at least) and let me tell you... its quite depressing. I guess what I really need to do is make a list not only of the places I would be open to living in (location-wise) but more so what I would like in a house vs. what I have to have.
Necessities
- 3 bedrooms (or more) - master bed, office, guest/baby room
- 1.5 bathrooms (or more) - sharing a bathroom with 2 people trying to get ready at the same time in the morning SUCKS
- Central AC - this is for DH, and also bc last summer my electric bill was almost $400 from running our little wall unit to death
- Small backyard area - for the dogs to run around and so we can finally have a BBQ and grill outside
- Laundry facilities in my ACTUAL house
Wants
- 4th bedroom - to expand so i could either have a craft room or another child's room
- Man cave aka basement - or area we could make the guy's hang out space/game room
- Walk in closet in master bedroom
- Bathroom in master bedroom
- Formal dining room - believe it or not i found a really cute house, but it only had an eat-in kitchen
- Good school district - as this is a starter house, i'm hoping by the time our future kids are school age, maybe we'll be better off financially that we can move to a bigger/nicer house?
I guess so far this is it for my list of wants vs must haves... i dont think i'm being too snotty about it, do you? when i had mentioned to DH a while back that i wouldn't even look at a house with less than 3 bedrooms he called me a spoiled brat. I honestly didn't mean it that way. I know LOTS of people that have 2 bedroom places and yes, i understand that IF that's all we can afford then so be it. BUT, i had ALREADY found houses that had 3 bedrooms in our price range, so i know its possible. i guess bottom line is that i just feel like if we're going to be investing so much time, money, energy into a house, i want it as close as we can to something we won't outgrow right away, something we can grow our family in and something i will look back and be very happy with our purchase.
Stay tuned to see what we actually end up in!

The news came in late last night. i was dancing around the store like a fool! So thank you thank you thank you for all your prayers for us!!! Yesterday was a GREAT day!!!
I will blog more later, totally swamped at work today. Although on a high like no other. will have to start house hunting ASAP!

Super busy at work here today so i'll update you on what I can...
1. GOOD no GREAT NEWS - We got the CO (certificate of occupancy aka stupid piece of paper that says we are legally allowed to operate) for the business!!! We are officially OPEN now! As I've said, almost 2 years in the making, i can't wait til our first customers start rolling in! Thank you thank you God...
2. STINKY NEWS - (literally) the bathrooms at work are broken... possibly for 3-4 more days. This started yesterday after someone clogged it by flushing feminine products down the toilet (rolling my eyes over here!!!)... ever since then we have to go outside, cross the street to the next building to use their restrooms. at least its nice weather out... the downside is that our entire office smells like an airplane bathroom/porta potty/sewer...
3. NEUTRAL/WAITING WITH BAITED BREATH NEWS - no word back on our counter offer to our potential buyers counter offer yet... its going on 2 days, is this normal? so i'm still trying to have hope it will still go thru... keeping a positive attitude is all i can do, trusting God will lead us to this if its the right time... but praying it is the right time.
Despite the gamut of emotions, it is a BEAUTIFUL sunny day, 75 degrees... my window is open... got a nice healthy salad for lunch... i am in a fantastic mood and am going to remain thinking positive thoughts!

We got an offer on the condo yesterday!!! It was MUCH lower than we wanted, so we countered, then they countered and we countered once more... if they accept, it will be right where we want to be, and then we'll be faced with some big decisions, but at least we'll be coming out of the gray area i felt like we've been stuck in. i'm hoping PRAYING they accept... so please please send lots of prayers our way... i'll let you know if i hear anything later today!
Also, DH is supposed to get his CO (certificate of occupancy) for the store today. if this happens, we will officially be OPEN for business... almost 2 years in the making, this will be a HUGE relief to finally have some paying customers...
