Hi, my name is...

When we moved to our new state, one of the first things on my to-do list was changing my name. I figured that it'd be easiest to do it here, rather than back in Ohio, and it would save some cash at the DMV. (No point in getting two new driver's licenses in five weeks, right?) So, we've been married for almost 5 months, been here for 4, and I've been Mrs. HisLastName for probably 3 1/2 months. And it wasn't a huge switch; I just moved down very slightly in the alphabet.

You'd think that I'd be able to introduce myself as Beth HisLastName then, right? Nope. I did it again today. I wrote my name and contact info down for someone, and then had to scratch the name out. Oops.

Luckily, Andy's got a sense of humor about it... I just have to wonder how much longer it'll be until I can remember who I am now!

I do the same thing... I always say hi i'm (my last name) and then have to go back and reverse it and we've been married for over right at 1.5 yrs. Its hard, when you've always said the same name for your entire life.

Hehe...I've not had too hard of a time adjusting, but my family sure has! My sister, every time she writes me a check, puts my maiden name. And she even booked airfare in my maiden name, almost a year after the wedding! Fortunately the people at the airport were nice, because I didn't have my marriage cert with me!
