Playing hooky

I'm a procrastinator. Always have been, probably always will be. (In college, I was always writing a paper at 3 a.m. the day it was due... while my roommate slept, with her completed paper printed and in the binder for the next day.) And when it comes to un-fun projects, I really put them off. Like organizing/cleaning the guest room before my parents come to visit. We're running out of time before they get here - and last night, our plan was to bust it out and get the room visitor-ready. Yeah, that didn't happen.

BUT... we had the best night together, laughing, playing games, making fun of the chef on Kitchen Nightmares. Life with Andy is so much fun; I feel incredibly lucky to have married my best friend. I've never met anyone who can make me laugh the way he does.

Maybe we should play hooky more often.

That's a very cute story.  I feel that way when my husband and I cook dinner together.  We're so playful and it reminds me why we're so great together.  By the way, I'm a super procrastinator too.  My brother and his girlfriend are coming into town tonight and staying with my husband and I.  We've known for about a week now.  I was up until 1 am cleaning last night...always doing everything at the last minute!

Hehe...I had to laugh at your post. DH and I are TOTAL procrastinators. DH's friend is coming into town today, and last night I was all ready to finish cleaning up....until I got distracted by CSI and sat down. Two hours later the cleaning wasn't done. So I guess that's what I'll be doing after work!!

DH and I are always putting less than pleasant tasks off by doing something fun, all with the idea of getting to the icky stuff after....it just usually doesn't happen that way!

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow??
