Sunday thoughts

A few end-of-the-weekend thoughts:
1. Regarding the unknown guests/wedding card: I was not going crazy; these people weren't at our reception. Turns out Andy works with the guy, and he got the card at work the week after the wedding. (And we sent a thank-you back the next day. Whew.)
2. Football teams can break your heart. Yesterday's OSU game was just sad - and honestly, poorly played in some aspects. (Come on, under-throwing the ball into double-coverage? Bad idea!) And the Browns today... losing to the Squeelers again. For, I believe the ninth time in a row. Some rivalry we've got going on here. At least, it wasn't a shut-out; we were in it until the end. If our defense could just get it in gear...
3. Soup, salad, breadsticks. Yummy. We had lunch at Olive Garden after church with one of our favorite new "couple" friends. We should make it a point to do stuff like that more often. Plus, it meant we weren't at home yelling at the game on the TV/Internet.
4. Ready for the 'rents - the apartment is clean, and I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow afternoon to stock up for my parents' visit. It should be interesting, especially since I'm not sure what all they want to do here.
5. The job search might be looking up! I applied for a job last week at a small marketing communications firm, and I've got an interview tomorrow afternoon! I'm really hopeful about this opportunity. I mailed the application materials on Wednesday; he called late Friday; the interview is Monday! So, it sounds like they're relatively interested. Plus, from the looks of their Web site, it'd be a good fit, considering what I did at my last jobs. I'm hoping (and praying and trusting!) that this one pans out.
6. Apparently, God is a Packers fan. At least, that's according to the woman who sat behind me in Sunday school this morning. Who knew? No wonder Favre can break those records.
