Getting back into the swing of things...

After four crazy days of Thanksgiving fun and a day of bumming around the apartment, I think I'm finally getting back into things. Today's goals: laundry, groceries and Christmas decorations.
A few highlights from the weekend:
1. Visiting with my Grandma and cousins. Andy and I crashed at Grandma and Grandpa's on Wednesday night, which gave me the opportunity to catch up with my Grandma and help her get dinner ready on Thursday.
2. Catching up with old friends. Andy spent Friday night and Saturday at a bachelor party, which left me free to visit one of my friends from grade school. She got married the day after I did, and she's expecting their first kid on my birthday next April. It was really great to see her - just wish I could have seen her sister too. We also spent Saturday night with one of our best "couple" friends, Mark and Jenny. Good times were had by all (even though we made Andy wear an Anderson Varejao wig - he's a good sport).
3. Early Christmas presents! Earlier this summer, Andy's parents visited the Homer Laughlin outlet store, and they bought some Fiestaware pieces for me. I guess they couldn't wait until Christmas, since his mom gave them to us on Friday. I've added a pizza pan, 8x8 square baking pan, an egg dish and a corn on the cob holder to my collection. (I've loved Fiestaware ever since I was a kid; our dishes were some of my favorite wedding presents!)
Overall, it was a good weekend, despite the fact that Andy caught my parents' cold and then gave it to me. And now that Thanksgiving is over, I'm more than ready to start decorating for Christmas! We borrowed a 4 ft. fake tree from family friends (our apartment won't let us have a real tree... HUGE bummer!), and I'm going to pick out Christmas cards this week too. Yay!
Oh, and I have a third interview tomorrow. I'm not sure how I feel about it - I haven't gotten the best vibe from the owner, so I'm not sure I'd enjoy working there. But, I'm also afraid to pass up an opportunity, especially since it's been almost 6 months since I left my other job. I'll just keep taking things one day at a time and see how it goes tomorrow!
