Just an "average" Monday...

Which is, I suppose, better than a manic one. 
I made pear bread and muffins (had to use up the fruit before it turned into mush in the fruit bowl!), did some laundry and some research into money market accounts. Oh, and I tried a new recipe for dinner (trying to use up some leftover chicken) - which didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. The recipe called for too much thyme, and it overpowered the flavors in the rest of the dish. Andy rated the bread and dinner 3 out of 5 - like I said, average.
Saturday was Andy's birthday, and we spent it at a ski-plane fly-in. (I figured, a day with airplanes; you can't ask for a better birthday for him!) There was plenty of snow, but unfortunately, the visibility wasn't so hot, and only one plane was able to make it in. We had a great day at the museum and then had dinner with some friends from our small group. I still haven't bought his birthday present though - I feel like such a slacker! I want to get him rock climbing shoes, but I can't do that without him - or his feet, anyway! - and I'm not sure where to buy them. I'll have to do some more looking.
