It's funny - even though I'm still not employed (that's a whole other story...!), I still really look forward to Friday. Maybe it's because the weekend means that I get to hang out and have fun with Andy, or maybe it's the lingering effects of working. Either way, it's the weekend, and I'm pumped.
I woke up this morning thinking about chocolate pie, and I just might have to make one. The only thing holding me back is my bad luck with pie crusts. Even when I buy the roll out crusts, I have problems. But we don't have any dessert in the house, and I think it'd be nice to have something to enjoy this weekend. The chocolate pie recipe is one that my mom got from my dad's grandma - essentially, it's a homemade chocolate pudding/custard in a pie crust. Yum.
I'm filling the rest of the day with cleaning and laundry - other domestic stuff. That way, when Andy gets home, we can spend the weekend doing whatever. I'm hoping that we can hit the movies on Saturday. I've been wanting to see the second National Treasure movie ever since it came out, and there's a couple afternoon showings. Plus, we still have a gift card to Olive Garden (yay for Christmas gifts!), so maybe we could do dinner and a movie and call it a date. Even if that doesn't happen, it'll be nice to just relax and have fun.
