Ugh, is it Friday yet?

5:30 a.m. comes way too early on Monday mornings, let me tell you. Especially when we're out until 11 the night before (and yes, I know that it's our own fault, but we were having such a good time). The late night takes its toll on Andy too - he's snoring away on the couch even as we speak. Poor guy. I figured I'd let him sleep for a while, wake him up for dinner and CSI: Miami and then call it a night.

Today was one of those days were I felt like no matter how hard I plugged away at my to-do list, nothing got done. I think I'm feeling a little bit of pressure with the to-do list now because I have a little over a week before we're taking a few days off. I feel like I need to have everything done before I'm gone for three days, and right now, that seems like an impossible feat. I'm actually not sure what our company policy is regarding overtime either. I'm not sure if they want me to work late or not. If they don't mind, then I'll stay later for a couple days later on this week. If not, well, then my boss might just have to deal with stuff not getting completely finalized before I'm gone.

Overall, the weekend was really good here (even if it was too short). We went to the local university's football game Saturday afternoon. They're a Division III school, so it wasn't the greatest display of athleticism that I've ever seen, but it was free, and we had a great time. Then we went out for pizza with our friends Andy and Bethany, and that was an adventure in and of itself! We're all pretty cheap, so we figured we'd try one of the places that we had a "buy one, get one" coupon for. We drove around for 10 minutes or so trying to find this pizza place, only to discover that it was closed! So, we picked another place, and it turns out, that one was closed too! (At least we called that one first, rather than driving all over trying to find another out-of-business shop.) Third time has to be the charm, right? Well, our next coupon was for "Muncheez's Pizza." With a name like that, we should have known, right?

Yes, they were open. Yes, we got "buy one, get one" pizza - served to us by this guy with crazy, bushy hair (shouldn't you have it tied back, or in a hair net or something, if you're making my food?!), on a sticky table (people must not eat in very often). About halfway through our meal, bushy-hair guy was replaced by "man without sleeves on his shirt" (doesn't that violate health codes?). The other Andy made the observation that the pizza seemed to be making him hungrier, even though he'd eaten four or five pieces. Maybe they were giving him the munchies. I guess that would explain the green flakes on the pizza, right? (Oregano, right?) It's now 48 hours later, and no signs of food poisioning from any of us, but I don't think we'll be eating at Muncheez's again anytime soon.

I feel you, I was up at 5:30 Monday morning too, after not going to bed until midnight.  Thank god I'm getting used to living on less sleep!
