Don't Panic

Perhaps that makes more sense if you've read "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"... But it applies here too.
After yesterdays panic attack, I went rummaging through my e-mail (if you can call it that) and found a recent "check in" e-mail from a caterer whom we tasted with first, but never exactly decided yes or no.
So, I called her up, and we have a quick meeting with her this evening.
The Fi and I hashed it out last night, and everyone is pretty much coming in even. However, this place we're meeting with today is giving us the most food for our price (which is good). So, we're hoping that if we can eliminate some of the food, we can knock the price per person down. I mean, we're willing to give some of that up, because after all, it IS a cocktail reception. (We're talking about a whole lot of food here.)
So, if we can knock the price down by giving some stuff up, then we'll probably go with this company. There are other upsides, besides just price. They're a company... which means that if something happens to our caterer, someone SHOULD be around to cover.
This is not the case with the other two.
Rats. I can't remember what the other upside was...
Oh well.
Keep your fingers crossed, huh? It would be pretty ironic to finally pick a caterer and its the first place we ever tasted. We could have saved so much time and agony!!
