A busy weekend

Well this past weekend we went to the Jazz and Rib Festival downtown. We took Ruby and met Todd and Rachel. It was very hot, but we were able to find a shady spot to sample tons of ribs and lemonade. Ruby was a little antsy and wanted to run around but it was hard since there was such a crowd.
Saturday we attended a going away party for Cathy, Randy's boss. It was a very family friendly party with tons of stuff to do for the kids and adults. Randy played poker and Ruby bounced on the trampoline, played with a millon different balls, drew with sidewalk chalk, hit the pinata, played in the sand and water, and basically was covered in dirt from head to foot. A quick change of clothes in the car and she was set to go. Although I was pretty exhausted.
Then Sunday we went to King's Island for a company picnic. We were originally only planning to go for a couple of hours since we had such a long weekend but we took it easy and it wasn't as hot as we thought so we ended up staying for almost 7 hours.
Whew, now we'll take the next week to recuperate.
