A week long vacation for all of us!

We took a week off from work to spend time with Ruby and each other. We packed a ton of fun into one little week, here are just some highlights.

Friday the 15th Ruby finally slept in the big girl bed and we moved the crib into the baby's room. (It took about a week of coaxing for her to finally sleep in it).

Saturday the 16th we decided to watch the OSU game and then drive up to Cedar Point. Ruby loves watching football now and asks us all the time if she can watch “Superbowl“. That night we spent the evening playing in our Hotel lobby where they had games, mini carousals, and a “whack-a-alligator“ game. This is where Ruby learned the phrase “ouch alligator“.

Sunday the 17th we spent all day at Cedar Point and we were all exhausted by the end of the day. I can't believe how many rides she went on and how many hours we were there.

Monday the 18th On our way back home we stopped to visit the Carousal in Mansfield.  Ruby's eye was red so we thought she might have pink eye. So we got her in to see the doctor. Our trip to the doctor also revealed that she had a double ear infection. She must have been having to much fun to tell us. I can't believe she spent the day at Cedar Point feeling yucky. We just relaxed the rest of the day.

Tuesday the 19th Ruby was feeling much better and we headed to the Columbus Zoo. It was perfect weather and we practically had the zoo to ourselves.

Wednesday the 20th Ruby went to school while Randy and I finished putting the baby's room together and putting furniture together. We also went to visit my mom in the hospital later that day. Ruby wasn't allowed in to see her because it was ICU and toddlers are germ carriers.

Thursday the 21st We all went to Chuck E Cheese's for Andy's birthday party.

Friday the 22nd we had dinner with Beth and Tom. We were planning to go to the high school football game but it was rainy and cold.

Saturday the 23rd we watched the OSU game.

Sunday the 24th We took Ruby to the Grater's Ice Cream place to run around like a nut and then to a movie.

It was a great week! I'm glad we got to spend so much time together. Although Randy ended up coming down with a sore throat and cold all week and Ruby is still recovering from her ear infection. Looks like I was the only one who was lucky enough to avoid sickness.

knock on wood.
