Another doctor appointment down, one more to go

I can't believe I'm actually posting that I have made it to 39 weeks. Yesterday I went to my (hopefully last) doctor appointment and everything is progressing well. My blood pressure was great (120 over 66) and I am now 3 cm dilated and 85% effaced. She also said that the baby has dropped lower. So at least things are moving along.
I remember my first appointment when they told me the due date (January 11th). I was a little taken aback since that's the same day my dad died. But I thought, hey, how many babies are actually born on their due date? It's just a date. But now as this date approaches, I find myself thinking that it could be a possibility. Should I be bothered by it? Or should I just go with the flow and assume that things happen for a reason? For now I find myself wishing for any other date but the 11th.
