Easter Weekend

Friday night we took the girls to the Zoo for their special Easter celebration. Most of the activities were indoors since it was so cold outside, but we had the chance to walk around a little bit. We stood in line for a half an hour to meet the Easter Bunny. Ruby smiled at him and waved the whole time so we figured she wouldn’t mind having her picture taken with him. We were wrong and after getting our money back for the photo, we headed up to the carousal for the free rides. Ruby was so excited to ride the horse that she didn’t mind waiting another half an hour. The anticipation was killing her though and she was bursting at the seams every time she caught a glimpse of the horses. We met up with Todd, Rachel and Elyssa afterward for dinner.
Saturday we colored eggs and that wasn’t nearly as messy as I thought it was going to be. Later that night Randy and I dug out the Easter Baskets and Eggs and hid them for the next morning.
Easter Morning Ruby searched for her eggs in the house and ate as much chocolate as she could get her hands on. We met Randy’s family for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised when Ruby actually ate her food and didn’t throw any. (Thank goodness because Jeremiah was sitting right next to her). We went back to Randy’s Dad’s afterward and let everyone hold Violet. Ruby was able to spend time with Adrianne, Aaron and Justin. (Jumping on the beds upstairs of course.)
