Things are not as they Seem

Last week Randy surprised me when I got home from work with all the fixings for a picnic in the park. So we packed up the girls and headed out. It would have been a very, very nice time, except that it was a bit chilly and windy out so Ruby and Violet weren't on their best behavior because they were cold. We also forgot to heat up Violet's bottle so she was extremely mad. Then Ruby ended up getting food all over herself. The wind kept blowing our hair in our faces. Ruby didn't want to eat, she just wanted to play near the lake (which had a pretty strong current). We spent the entire time running after Ruby and trying to keep Violet from screaming. So all in all, it was a very exhausting afternoon, but ya gotta love Randy for trying! And looking at the photos, you would never have known that things were anything but happy. So maybe a few years from now, Ruby will look at these photos and think "hey we must have had a great time" and I suppose by then our memories will be the same.
