Making More Life Changing Decisions

Well, about 3 weeks ago Randy was offered a really great job opportunity. We have been trying to make a decision about all this time. This opportunity really is too good to pass up. After trying to figure out a way to have us both work full time and only use childcare part time, we realized that it's just not going to work and the stars are not aligning for us. So, someone is trying to tell us something and we decided that Randy will take the job and I will quit mine.

I'm extremely excited to be home with my girls but I must admit that I'm a little sad to be leaving a job that I love with people that I love. And somewhere it's in the back of my mind that when I return to the workforce in a few years, I won't have the equivalent opportunities that I do now.

But, like I said, someone is trying to tell us something and I need to listen.

So, as I've written here before, off we go, on to another exciting chapter in our lives.....

re: Making More Life Changing Decisions

Wow, that is a huge decision!  Is it at all possible for you to work part-time, still getting yourself out of the house and keeping your foot in the door?  Of course, with you staying home, you will save a ton of money on child care, and your daughters will definitely benefit from your time at home with them.  But it's still scary to leave your job, especially when you love it.  You are lucky because very few people love what they do and who they work with.  I certainly don't.  But I'm glad you have made a decision and can finally know what the immediate future holds.
