Having a Potty Party

Posted Tuesday, July 24, 2007 7:27 AM

That's right, Ruby and I are having a potty party today. I read all about it in the book "how to potty train you child in one day". Now don't laugh, because clearly I don't expect to potty train Ruby in one day, I'm just looking to get her back on track. She was so close to being trained before Violet was born. Then she regressed and wanted to be the baby, and I guess we regressed a little too because it was hard to focus on a new baby and remember to take Ruby to the potty all the time. (or have enough hands to do it). So we decided to back off and try again later. So today I'm going to try and we'll see what happens. Wish me all the patience in the world (I'm pretty sure I will need it).

I also have new photos of the girls, but as always, I need to get them off my camera first.

re: Having a Potty Party

Good luck with the potty party.  Some toddlers can be potty trained in one day - I know from experience.  And about the psychic reading, I only asked for advice on one thing.  I asked how to handle my sister and her children right now.  She's going through a divorce and already starting to date, and I believe she's neglecting her kids some.  So I asked how I should handle the situation.  And she said I just have to give the kids lots of love, but that I can't do anything to change anything so just to not involve myself.  It was good advice, although it will be hard.  I didn't want to know how to handle the upcoming things she said I'd experience because I didn't want to change how I would have handled them on my own based on what she might have said.  What if she told me I should do something, then I get it in my head to do it, and it turned out to be the wrong thing to do.  I'm hoping she's right about a lot of the stuff she said.  I'd love to finish this year with a new job and a pregnant belly (although those two things usually don't go well together!)
