OPening New Doors

I may have forgotten to mention that a couple of weeks ago while I was out shopping, Randy had to break down our door leading to the garage. He was accidently locked out when he stepped out to take out the trash with Violet in her crib and Ruby baby-gated upstairs. So he broke down the door. I don't know what I would have done. Probably panicked! But the good news is that we now have a pretty new door. Merry Christmas to us!
In other news, Violet is standing for long periods of time without holding onto anything. She is almost walking. I remember when Ruby was this close to walking we bought her first pair of shoes and she took off the very next day.
Ruby is learning so many new things everyday. Her school held a Christmas concert and her class sang Rudolph the red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. There's nothing more entertaining than a couple of dozen 3 year olds singing Rudolph at the top of their lungs. :) In the car she sings too and I catch her changing the lyrics when she forgets the words. The funniest ones were when she replaced the line "and they shouted out with glee" with "and he got a shot for fleas" and my all time favorite "and they got chocolate peas"!
She cracks me up everyday.
