We started out by coloring eggs last weekend. I was surprised at how well Ruby could color them by herself. Then we went to our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt (which was a ton of fun this year because Violet was able to run around after the eggs). Then Ruby made a snack for the Easter Bunny and a note asking him to wipe his feet (remember last year he made muddy tracks through our kitchen, she reminded me) then placed their Easter baskets on the couch and then off to bed for the girls. Randy and I then went to work filling their empty baskets, hiding eggs, and making a rainbow cake. (see pictures below). The next morning the girls ran around discovering that the Easter Bunny left tracks up to our door (and wiped his feet) and then ate his snack, filled their baskets, hid eggs in our backyard and even left them the fab rainbow cake. (which Ruby squealed over when I cut it and she realized it wasn't a regular cake with sprinkles). Then we went to the park and flew kites and played with all the goodies in their baskets. WHAT FUN!!
TOO CUTE! Your girls are absolutely adorable. And the cake looks awesome, do you have a recipe? Or did you just dye the batter of any old white cake recipe different colors? I would love to know how that was done. Thanks for all the pics! :D

I found the recipe here http://www.omnomicon.com/rainbowcake But yeah, you can basically just use white cake mix from a box and then dye the batter different colors. :)
