Already on maternity leave

My dr took me off of work today, at 32 weeks.

She said my blood pressure has dropped a lot w/in the last 2 weeks, which isnt good. So no work for 14 weeks! Thats assuming I go on time. I highly doubt I will go late because of what I was told today. if I go on time I will be off work for 14 weeks. This is 3 months and 2 weeks. I will not know how to act, I will go crazy. Even Aaron told me I will go crazy. At least I will be able to relax, and get everything done for the baby.

My dr also advised me not to stand more than 20 minutes at a time, so that will take some getting use to since I have a 5 year old. Aaron will help me out though. He was nervous when I told him I was off work, he assumed I had been put on bedrest, which is what I thought she was going to tell me, but she didnt.

Now what to do with myself? lol

Read.  Watch movies because it will be awhile before you can sit through a whole movie without interruptions.  Sleep.  I'm not jealous of your situation (because being without work means without money, and that would not be good for us) but I totally think having some time to think and breathe and focus before a new baby is nothing but good.

Put your feet up :) Relax for the first part of your time off and then enjoy your new little one for the last part, because that is the part that will go by much faster than you want it to.

Edmo - the money isnt a problem. I can get unemployment for 2 more weeks, until my disability kicks in. So i'll have some kind of income to help out. I've been anxious about getting everything done, and now I will be able to.

lipp82  - Yeah I just need to relax. I can finally get my daughters room organized, and make room for the crib we will get this summer.
