Christmas Musings with Pics!

First off, our Christmas tree!  The presents here are for my family. 

We celebrated Christmas Eve at my parents' house.  Since I hate holding onto gifts, I volunteered ours to be the ones that got passed out on Christmas Eve.  I love giving gifts.  :D  But anyway, we had a lovely dinner there, passed out and received some presents, and then went back home to get ready for our church service at 11pm.  I love going to church, so I was especially excited to be going for this.

Our church was so beautifully decorated.  It really was incredible what they did there.  Moreover, the service was amazing.  I can't wait until we are able to bring our own children to services like this one to help them see the true meaning of Christmas and to go into the holiday focused on the baby who came to be our Savior.  Pastor Tim pointed out the four gifts we've all received on Christmas, and those are Life, Light, Truth and Grace (God's Riches At Christ's Expense).  It really was just a wonderful service.  I hope they'll have recorded copies of it available, but it seems like they might not this time around...

We were very blessed to meet this elderly couple at the service we attended.  I overcame my shyness to ask them if we could take a photo with them in the end because I want to remember them and the love that they possess.  When they were sitting, he would sometimes put his arm around her, and when they were standing to sing, they held hands.  I want us to still have that later on in life, as many years have passed.  I want us to still hold hands, to put our arms around one another, to exude the life which God has demonstrated for us.  I love these two and wish them many more years of a blessed life in Christ together.

Our tree on Christmas Morn'!  In our new little family, we are starting a tradition of three sets of gifts for each family member to symbolize the three gifts Christ received from the three kings. ^^;;

Aww, what a sweet wife!  ^.~  (And yummy pancakes!)

Oh, and I can't forget!  This is the picture we took for our holiday photo cards (which turned out way beyond cute!!).

At any rate, I wanted to be sure to recap some of our first Christmas together to remember for time to come.  ^^;;  It truly was a very memorable one filled with so many blessings.
