As we journey through our new life together as husband and wife in Christ, I'll use this space to detail some of our happenings every now and again. It'll be so neat to look back on this to see how much we have grown together!

Hope for the New Year

Our year started off horribly.  I am really excited going into this new year, though.  There will be lots of changes, but we are growing closer through each one--just how it should be.  ^^;;

For Christmas, one of the gifts I gave to my husband was something I already have, but in his native language--The Five Love Languages and The Five Languages of Apology.  We are starting with the first one, and even though we've only read and chatted about the first chapter, it's already helping us to understand each other more.  It's hard for me to explain to him what I want/need, and it's also hard for him to understand why I want/need something a certain way (and vice versa) sometimes.  We have had some really fun conversations and are already starting to be more aware of each other's love language (since ours are definitely different).  ^^;;  I was so glad to fine the second one finally translated, so yay!  It'll be great getting to do this together where we can both completely understand what we are reading.

Otherwise, I can't wait to start my new job in a month.  I grow more and more tired of my current job everyday that I work, but I am starting to feel a little guilty about keeping my job status a secret.  It's so weird to be talking to my boss about days off or this or that task I am now appointed to with the knowledge of how she's just going to have to reassign the tasks to someone else and will be at a very big loss for someone who can work my shift.  I don't want to put in my notice too early, though, for fear of them letting me go earlier than I want to be.  That's highly unlikely, but still.

And yay for a four-day weekend togehter!!  It'll be a little busy, but it'll be fun.  Here are some of our plans:

Saturday: We're both getting our hair cut, then going to the Mall of America to exchange the hat I got him for Christmas (UFC!) for another one that'll match the shirt I got him more.  Then, it's Buffalo Wild Wings for the big fights!  Yes!

Sunday: Church in the morning, of course. :D  We'll head over to my grandmother's house in the evening for a sort of Christmas/New Year celebration.

Monday: Not too much planned, but we plan to go out to eat and then head over to my parents' house to bring in the New Year!  I love the food we always eat there.  XD

Tuesday: DO NOTHING AND LIKE IT DAY.  :D

And of course, Wednesday is back to reality.  :(

So with the New Year, I hope we will be able to start TTC at some point in time, but we want to make sure we bring a baby into our lives with a more stable situation than the one we have now with our jobs and where we live.  (I don't want to have to work right after the baby is born, and he wants to get in a better position for us to open our own TKD school.)  I sometimes feel like we'll never be in an ideal position, but we'll see where God leads us.  ^^;;  But we do already have names picked out.  XD

At any rate, I will call it quits for this entry because I remembered there was something else I really wanted to detail here.

re: Hope for the New Year

My husband and I recieved "The Five Love Languages" as a gift for our wedding from my Sister in Law. We both read it (me first of course) and it helped us some. Now almost 5 years later I'm sure it wouldn't hurt either one of us to read over it agian.

We are married as of July 7th! I strive to be a Proverbs 31 wife and am thankful for each day I have the opportunity to grow by my husband's side. ^^;; We are trying to get a few things sorted for now so that we can head down the path God has paved for us full force!
