A Good Weekend

I feel really good today. Our weekend started off a little rough, but we got over it and have been having a great time just relaxing and spending time with one another. I had typed up a post on Friday because I was feeling down, but then my comptuer decided it didn't want to cooperate anymore. I still have the post, but I haven't published it yet.
I'll post some highlights from it for now, though:
-My job is going very well. It's still very hard for me to get up so early, but my husband joked with me saying that it was the perfect job for me. Why? Because I get to sit in front of a computer all day doing stuff on the internet. XD
-We reached the 180 day mark with immigration with no interview appointment notice, so unfortunately, that means I have to call them tomorrow. I am expecting to hear simply that it is processing and that we just need to wait, but I'll be asking them for more details concerning following processing times online and whatnot. We're thinking of now applying for advance parole, but we fear that as soon as we put out the money for that, we'll get our interview notice. If only our attorney hadn't "assured" us we'd be done in roughly 4 months, we would have applied for it right away and would have had it by now.
-I really do have the baby bug bad. I think part of it is because we are expecting to TTC this year, but yeah. I even bought some prenatal vitamins yesterday. XD (They were BOGO free, so how could I pass it up? It's also the most non-Rx recommended kind, so I just couldn't say no to a good deal on a good product...) We still have a lot of things to work out before then, which is what got me so down on Friday, but I know it's all in His hands. He even knows if it'll be a boy or girl first and what we will name him/her, so I need to stop worrying all of the time. ^^;;
And there was other stuff, but I don't feel like recapping right now.
So anyway, back to our good weekend. We had a big grocery shopping day yesterday since it involved going to three separate places: the Korean market, Super Target and Cub Foods. We had originally planned on skipping Cub, but I really wanted to buy more meat than what was at Target because I need special cuts for a lot of my cooking. So yeah, we were shopping for several hours.
Target was fun, though, because we stopped by the Valentine's Day section to see what was left of the chocolate and bought probably more than we should have. He had tried to buy me my favorite (Lindt), but since he had forgotten the name, he just bought me some-odd other kind and said I could return for the one I liked more, lol. So we did that. XD I was able to get my Lindt, but I wound up being way more excited to see that they had a box of Harry London chocolates which included my favorite chocolate buckeyes!! Harry London buckeyes are the best, in my opinion, and it's been years since I've had them. It's the one thing I tell people I miss about Ohio, lol. So anyway, he picked some out, too, so we are more than set on chocolate for awhile. ^^;;
Oh! We had also stopped by Northwestern Christian Bookstore because I had wanted to pick up Kevin Max's newest CD. While we were there, I saw that the special edition of Skillet's latest CD was on sale, so I picked that up, too. Actually, almost everything in the store was 25% off, so that was pretty darn awesome. I haven't listened to the full CDs yet, but I am totally taking them to work to listen to while I am doing my job. :D
Totally random, but while my husband was getting his hair cut today, I was glancing through Glamor magazine (they spell it that way, right?). They posted the results of a poll asking the average number of partners men and women had had, and the results just disgusted me. The average number for men was 13, and the average number for women was 9. It is so sad to see people just so easily giving away the most precious gift they can give a person. My husband and I both waited until marriage, and it is truly an incredible blessing to be able to give ourselves to each other fully and completely without any past baggage. I know this is not the commonly shared viewpoint in society today, but I think people really need to think about their actions a whole lot more than they do now. Us waiting for each other until marriage showed a true committment we had towards one another before we even met, and I can't imagine any greater gift we could have given each other on our wedding night. I'm not condemning anyone who didn't wait/is not waiting or anything, but I would just hope that more people begin to give it more thought rather than simply giving in to passion.
Anyway, enough of that. I was just so sad to see that number, so I needed to get some of those thoughts out.
Well, I am going to try to finally get into a routine with working out on the elliptical, so even though my plan is for MWFSa, I think I am going to go do some today just to help kickstart the habit this week. It's much easier to start on a day off than it is to after a long day of work. @__@
I hope everyone has a blessed week!
