What a busy weekend and it's Monday already. I just wish we had the opportunity to take a vacation...a romantic getaway is sooooo warranted! But, we move forward with our hard work on the house and this past weekend we took a little break to host Bri's graduation picnic. Of course, we didn't spend much time resting or together...Russ manned the grill all day and I made sure plans went smoothly and greeted and introduced friends and family. Still, it was a nice break from painting and nice to breathe fresh air as opposed to paint fumes!
Russ & I get along so well. We rarely argue (okay...once in a while he needs reminded who's boss....lol ... kidding, that may be the other way around). We work so well with each other and agree most of the time and when we don't, we respect the each other's opinions and feelings. The first year was an adjustment, but we've settled into a nice partnership/lifestyle and even though we've been crazy with house projects and don't seem to have the time for a date night or quality time together, we know it's just a matter of time. After our deadline for moving and all this work is mostly behind us, we'll be able to pick up and enjoy each other's company again when we finally have free time. In the meantime, we send love note text messages to reassure and encourage and remind one another that we're still in love!
