Fall? Autumn? Hello?

So…after the 90 degree weather last week, I think Fall is finally here. No higher than in the 50’s this weekend! Wish it wouldn’t be such a drastic change. But, it was a little too hot last weekend sitting and working at the Mars Apple Festival – I was dying I was so miserable and hot and my weekend wasn’t really a weekend with working Sat. (And for me to say it was too hot is a big deal because I just loathe snow and cold and dreary…but man, sitting in the direct sun and heat for all day was just more than I could handle!)
DH spent the entire day installing a new garbage disposal, but he finally got it in and the switch is on the wall near the back of the kitchen sink instead of under the sink in the cabinet. So…all is well with garbage disposal-ing! He’s such a handyman at times!
DH and I had a fun evening last night. The drive to the new Chinese restaurant for dinner was filled with back and forth joking-arguing (jokug-ing?). Stopped at red light I had to laugh and tell him we sounded like an old married couple! But it WAS all joking and it was funny. Maybe you had to be there…
Anyone else noticing that there is absolutely nothing on tv in the evenings? We ended up settling on me reading a book which I can’t wait to get through because it’s very slow and drawn out, but I have to finish it because I’m strange like that and DH watching the military channel or the history channel or something along those lines. All I know is that the shows he enjoys make my eyelids heavy and I was sound asleep nice and early (the book may have contributed to the zzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s too).
And thus, another work day, another day closer to the weekend. It’s homecoming so we’ll be doing all the fun girly stuff with my daughter (shopping, hair appointment, nails, etc.). Well, I’ll be doing that – I’m sure DH will come up with something more manly to do and maybe finally, the mud room will be pushed to the front of the project list. My goal is to have it completed by the time winter is here so that snowy shoes and book bags and coats are there instead of in the kitchen. So…if the weather wants to hold off on Fall for a little longer – I guess I’m okay with it!
