Beer Therapy

You know it's been a tough week at work when at 4:30 on Friday you say "so where are we going?" and everyone's face lights up and they say simultaneously grab coats and shout "I'm ready"! No explanation required! It was such a rough work week! So, we all darted out the door and down the hall, out of the office with a little dance in our step (it is Friday AND a pay week!) and we headed to the closest dive to have a beer and some munchies (yes...it was a lot crowded and we were getting stares because we were definitely the best dressed as I didn't bring my leather-fringy coat and ball cap...joking!). We laughed until we cried and joked and laughed some more and had a fresh start to the weekend.
Just that hour to unwind put everyone in better spirits - we ought to do it more often! A new office policy! Beer therapy! After the stress of the week, a new nickname for the newest member of the team where her name starts with "Poor(first name)" and so many meetings and new projects that it's no wonder we're all bogged-down-feeling with slumpy posture or breaking out in stress cold-sores or coming down with colds...it was pleasant to see 'the team' smiling and NOT talking work work work.
And I've been the worst! Between work, my computer frustrations, and I'm guessing PMS...I was somewhere on the scale between crybaby - crab - witch with a 'b' & murderer. Now I'm all happy (and no...I didn't go overboard on the beer either! lol) and I'm ready to be NICE instead of naughty because I have a feeling I was heading straight for "lump of coal" on Santa's list!
