24 days - Christmas Count Down

I'm so indecisive! I keep re-decorating. I changed my mind on the tree and redecorated it and then changed it back! I decorated the bannister and changed my mind and re-decorated it. I moved other smaller lighted trees to a different room. I added a display of the little houses/church/etc. with lights. I put up small table-top trees with lights and coordinating decorations in the girls' rooms. I think I'm done! NOW perhaps tomorrow I can set about getting the regular household chores done!
Russ got the woodburner, pipes and chimney completely installed and burning wood! Then they started working on a case of beer. lol But, it was all finished in plenty of time before the ice storm hit, so all is well and toasty and warm! Yay! Next project: slate tiling the mudroom floor! Then no more shoes piled all over the kitchen floor and coats thrown over the breakfast table, book bags dumped in your path or junk all over the kitchen counters - mudroom will hopefully promote organization and "drop" will take place there! I can't wait!
Tomorrow = more work. I'm hoping to get these boxes out of this office/guest room so that it's an actual room and not a storage closet anymore! If you walked in here - where I'm sitting at the computer, you'd be playing a "where's waldo" type of game in order to even see me! It was the dump room while unpacking and the room where everything that I didn't want out in the rest of the house got tossed...it's a wreck!
On another note - my local advertising agency website is doing well. Some days I feel like it's a slow-go. But when I look at what's been accomplished in 3 wks., it's not so bad. All new business takes a while to get established, right? I've been averaging at least 1 ad a day and most are from people I don't know! My forwarding the site in an email and asking everyone to do the same has been the best marketing strategy so far. Since the money I'm putting in (which isn't much since it doesn't make money at this time) is more like hobby-money, I haven't actually paid for advertising yet other than the paper to make flyers and business cards...which are displayed and posted locally. I've also noticed word of mouth being a good marketing tool, so even though it seems slow, I guess it's doing well for being only 3 weeks old.
I still haven't purchased the Graphire/Bamboo tablet that I want. I don't think I'll be able to put it on my Christmas list because I want it sooner! It's just another way to add success to the business and I want to play around with it! So, I may have to buy myself a little early Christmas present.
Looks like everyone else has headed to bed! I'm so full of energy and wanting to look at shopping online for some Christmas ideas and check out software for photos/etc. and recipes and .... and get started on sorting the junk piled up around me --- I'll be here all night! But, at least I can sleep in and with the sounds of ice pelting the windows, I don't think I'll be driving anywhere tomorrow!
