Valentine's Day - the expansion of my butt Parts I, II & III

Posted Thursday, February 14, 2008 10:52 PM

What a lovely day - the sun was shining & it made the world seem brighter.  It even felt warmer!  My Valentine's Eve was sweet.  Russ can never wait to give a gift, so he's either offering it early or teasing me with the surprise or I'm fighting him because I want to wait until the celebrating day (although the 12 days of Christmas is a grand idea!)  So, I was given a box of chocolates last night.  Yummy ones from Fudgie Wudgie.  All of my favorites!  I ate too many and spoiled my appetite for dinner last night! (Part I)

And tonight he's going to make a special dinner for me.  He always cooks - so really, every dinner is special because he prepares them.  We're low on funds & both homebodies in the winter on work nights, so we're staying in.  The girls have plans, so it'll be just the two of us.  He doesn't get home for another 1/2 hour which gives my digestive system a break.  Read below for my Valentine Diet:

I made him a card and lit some candles and got him some cookies from the bake sale at work today.  There was a bake sale fundraiser to benefit a trip to china for surgery not covered by insurance or in the U.S. for a blind 2 yr. old little boy in the community  ($750 alone was raised at work today...so many goodies!).  Of course - I forgot and brought Valentine cupcakes in this morning and then the bake sale was too-too tempting and it was for a good cause so I had no choice but to indulge.  I bought brownies, a dozen thumbprint cookes, and a dozen snickerdoodles and don't forget I had my box of Valentine's Eve chocolates!  And although bulging at the waistline, I scarfed down fries for lunch.  NOW I'm so full I can't look at any more food - but I can't ruin Russ' special Valentine's Dinner!  I'll have no choice but to eat again!  So much for the weight I DID lose!  Everytime he buys me sweets/dessert - he says it's because he's president of the badonkadonk preservation society and he's just doing his duty (my weight fluctuates, but I'm always on the thin side).  Well ... I don't need the the help today!  (Insert little prayer that he doesn't get dessert to go along with the special dinner tonight....please no!) (Part II)

My Valentine's Day Menu before my romantic dinner later:

  • Cupcake with pink icing
  • 3 Snickerdoodles
  • Chocolate candy (turtles and coconut)
  • French fries
  • 4 Snickerdoodles (not tiny ones - nice, big, temptuous ones)

Oh well.  I'll survive and pledge to eat better starting tomorrow.  Wink

Here's pictures of my little Valentine decor:

Cheap ... but we have a new house.  And most importantly, we have each other!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Update:  Russ came home & the house is smelling wonderful:  a romantic pasta dinner - yum!  Of course he bought bread!  And dessert!  Sara Lee Fruits of the Forest Pie with Hagan Natural Vanilla Bean icecream which I LOVE.  I made him frown though because there is just no way I can even look at that pie tonight.  Sad I know.  I mean, I'd find room, ya know?  But he also stopped at Fudgie Wudgie AGAIN and surprised me with:

There is no possibility of a badonkadonk extinction in this house!

You will be so sweetened out that you won't be able to even taste another sugary food for weeks!

About DANGERUSS & MITTENS

My husband calls me Mittens. I adore my husband, girls (19 & 16), our dapple doxie, Niski and spending time with family. I love the D&R board - you can usually find me there. It's a good thing I love D&R since we bought an old farmhouse last year that needs a complete cosmetic makeover. I love decorating & rearrange the furniture every time I clean. Yes, nearly once a week! I also love all things pink & girly. I'm an entrepreneur (wanna-be supermodel, actress, writer and princess - but my wanna-be status changes frequently). I love to blog. :)
