Freaky Friday

I'm am soooo freaked out! Has your dog ever sat on your lap, looking at something behind you, shaking, & growling? Upon glancing over my shoulder I notice there is nothing there, but her eyes are fixed on something! That happened to me last night and I sort of blew it off because I'm brave when my girls are around and Russ, our protective MAN, was home and "no big deal".
Well, it's nearing evening and the girls are gone and Russ may possibly work until 8 or 9 p.m. and as I was going about my business, the snow decided to avalanche off of the roof creating a house-shaking booming noise! I did see it after it started but not before my heart stopped!
And now my imagination is going wild – that heart stopping moment of fear reminded me of the dog seeing or sensing something last night and now my mind is screaming “I AM ALONE AND IT'S GETTING DARK”! I'm NOT brave when I'm alone. I'm MORE afraid, a big chicken, a psycho lady going around making sure doors are locked and later I'll make sure I'm sitting somewhere with my back to the wall!
At least when the girls are here, my “motherly instinct” kicks in and I can kick the boogeyman’s butt. Leave me by myself with a “suspicious and scared” dog and I’m hiding under the bed!
