Success doesn't come to you - you go for it!

Posted Thursday, March 20, 2008 3:42 PM

There is no better feeling than  moving closer to a dream coming true to boost morale and motivate me!  I don’t want to go into specific details, but I’m getting so fired up!  One step closer to freedom from feeling trapped in a job I’ve outgrown and don’t enjoy anymore, one step closer to no stopping me from pushing myself towards my lifelong dreams coming true.  I’m confident that overcoming the obstacles and putting my self doubt and worry on the back burner will be well worth my efforts and hard work.  It’s exhilarating to have jumped in and given myself the kick in the rear that I should have done a lot sooner.  But, since November…I’ve put all my fear behind me and invested in full-filling my dream and while start up has been slow, there have been hints at success and things are finally starting to pay off, or at least that’s my attitude!

The timing is perfect…spring.  After a long, gloomy, cold, dark winter – I feel like I’m blooming!  Now if only the temperature and weather would cooperate!  However, even the cold and threat of snow isn’t rain on my parade.  Good-bye seasonal lethargy and depression!    Motivation in one area has been so rewarding in other areas.  I’m seeing the potential and charm in my home again and inspired to keep my spirits up despite the chaos.  I persuade myself to go to my job and do my best with thoughts that it may not be much longer tucked in the back of my mind.  My creativity is stimulated.  My outlook is positive.  Optimistic mentality is such a blessing!

My outlook is positive today, but last night it started snowing here!  I about lost my dang mind for a minute.  But I am keeping my fingers crossed that it was the last of it and I'll see no more snow until next November/December.

And congratulations, on whatever you're talking about!  :)

Thanks Edmo!  I HATE snow too with a PASSION - this year especially for some reason and I'd probably have a short temper tantrum if it started snowing here again!  But...thankfully despite the freezing cold, the sun is shining!

I, too, am nest illiterate and can't reply to your private message.  :)  But...it was a nice surprise in the middle of my day to get a note from you!

I hope you're feeling well!  Isn't it time for another picture?  :)

What a blessing optimism and hope are indeed!  I'm glad things are looking up for you.  You need a little more joy after some of the stress lately with your daughter moving out and whatnot.  I still have to work on putting worry on the back-burner more often... ;)

This post makes me feel like taking a Xanax.  I want to be this carefree.  I am so happy that you are this happy.  I love your optimism.  I hope it sticks around a good long time.  And in regards to the responses.  I looked at the weather and it is supposed to snow here on Easter, Yuck!

Thanks fellow nesties for your words of encouragement!  We'll see how the next couple of weeks go and hopefully I'm STILL optimistic.  MANDY!  Keep that snow to yourself!  I don't want it!  lol  Snow makes me NEED Xanax!

About DANGERUSS & MITTENS

My husband calls me Mittens. I adore my husband, girls (19 & 16), our dapple doxie, Niski and spending time with family. I love the D&R board - you can usually find me there. It's a good thing I love D&R since we bought an old farmhouse last year that needs a complete cosmetic makeover. I love decorating & rearrange the furniture every time I clean. Yes, nearly once a week! I also love all things pink & girly. I'm an entrepreneur (wanna-be supermodel, actress, writer and princess - but my wanna-be status changes frequently). I love to blog. :)
