Two things at once

Well, I got bad news at the end of last week.? Due to budget cuts, I'm losing my job at the end of September.? At least I have plenty of notice, but that doesn't make it any easier.? I'm so afraid I won't find a job that I love, or that I'll have to take a huge pay cut.? Chris and I were planning on going off birth control this year, and the job thing has really put a big question mark on that.? And speaking of going off birth control, I met with a new ob/gyn yesterday to discuss all that nonsense.? She was a really great doctor and I felt completely comfortable with her.? She did do a thorough exam, which I was not at all expecting, considering this was supposed to just be a consultation, but at least I'm a patient now.? It feels good to finally have an ob/gyn.? I've never been to one, just seen a regular doctor for annual paps and everything.? She got me excited for the whole idea of being pregnant and even prescribed me prenatal vitamins.? It was fun for about ten minutes until I went to the grocery store and saw a two year old throw up right in front of me, the little boy's dad freaking out as he held onto his other baby, then abruptly leaving the store without telling anyone about the incident.? Then a mom of three was trying her best to get control of her clan, with no success.? It was a madhouse of reminders why having kids is just a crazy idea!
