Family Oriented Weekend

Family central this weekend! Chris and I went out to dinner with my mom for her birthday on Friday. My mom was so frustrating! I spent twenty minutes on the phone with her trying to get her to the restaurant to meet us, only to find out she didn't have her contacts in and passed the place three times! Saturday morning was my niece's (ugh) cheer tournament (I made fun of the cheerleaders, which got me through it). I'm not a big cheerleader person. It's great for other people, but I'd rather watch soccer or hockey. My niece's team won first place for their grade though! Then I exercised (thank god because I'm at a ridiculous weight for me right now), then visited my friend Keri for only one hour before the ice and snow storm forced me to head home, which took over an hour (rather than the normal 20 minutes). But it was worth it because her baby was crying and didn't feel well and for some reason, I was able to get him to stop crying! Sunday, more family time. My brother and his lady came into town for about two hours, we had lunch at my mom's, then we visited my grandma in the nursing home. That was was weird because this guy in a wheelchair kept screaming for Barbara to help him go to the toilet, but no one helped him, my mom said because he says that day and night, shouting for his wife. So sad. Weird too.
