taking charge of my fertility and my medical bills and my sanity

Okay, update on the $200 medical bill. I talked to the doctor's office, and they can usually change an insurance claim description, but they had already sent the paperwork to their billing department, and it was too late to change anything at that point. They did feel bad because they didn't know my insurance wouldn't cover it and would have submitted it differently had they known. So they are allowing me to cut 50% off the bill, so now I only owe $100. I can handle that. At least they are being accomodating.
Secondly, I went to the library yesterday and checked out the new edition of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I don't know why I thought that book would be an easy, brochure-type reading. I was so surprised at how big that book is! Over 450 pages. It's due back at the library on May 2nd, so I have some serious reading to do. Chris thinks it's cute I got that book. He says that this is going to be my new thing. I always need a thing to do or plan or research. So he thinks it's cute I've taken this on as a project. He calls me "Fertility Girl" right now, just like he called me "Lemon Drop" when I was doing the Master Cleanse. He's cute.
And to maintain my sanity, I just keep thinking about the cruise I'm going to be on in a week and a half! I had to force my husband to go on this cruise with me (he hates to take off work). We booked this particular cruise because DH's cousin and his wife are taking it because their friend is getting married on the boat. We're going because I really wanted to take a cruise and this was a great opportunity to enjoy a trip with other people that we have fun with. And since I'm photographing another of DH's cousin's wedding on our anniversary in three weeks, I think I deserve a cruise as an early anniversary trip. However, the bride on the cruise boat, knowing that I'm going to be there during the wedding, asked if I would take pictures of her wedding for her. I don't mind at all, that's what I do and I know I will take great pictures for them, but I was not at all planning on taking my nice camera on this trip. It's too heavy and bulky and I don't want to risk losing it or damaging it. But I am going to do that favor for her and suffer through carrying that heavy camera. She deserves amazing wedding photos, and I know the boat-designated photographer (part of her wedding package) will not do them justice.
Anyway, details of the cruise: going to Nassau, CocoCay (a Royal Caribbean private island), and Key West. Leaving Sunday April 23rd, staying in Miami overnight, then boarding for the cruise at 10:30 am on Monday morning. Most guests don't get to start boarding until after 1 pm, but since we're going to the wedding which is scheduled at 1, we get to board way before the rest of the cruise passengers! That in itself is worth taking their wedding pictures!
