I see an end in sight!

Oh my goodness - the basement construction is nearing its end. I gotta remember to take some new progress photos. I know I'm going to regret not taking more pictures of this grueling process, but I didn't want to spend any more energy in that basement than I absolutely had to. The walls are done. No more mud, no more tape, no more disgustingly filthy sanding. We will spend this weekend cleaning up the dust and then priming. We will stomp the ceiling, although we have no idea what we're doing there, so it will be a learning adventure. Then, starting next week, I GET TO PAINT! That's the fun part for me. I'm really excited. And I won't have to use any stupid blue tape or tarpe because we have no carpet and no framing or baseboards yet, so nothing to accidently get paint on. After the painting, we'll finally put stuff in the bathroom - key things like, well, a toilet and sink. Then we can pick out carpet and wood framing. That's the expensive stuff we might be too broke to buy, but we're going to dip into my precious savings account. I might cry that day. I love seeing money in my savings account. Sometimes I just look at it online. After next week, I will do my best to avoid checking the status on that account. I'll post photos when it's all done. All I know is that my brother is coming into town for the fundraiser on June 23rd, and he and his girlfriend will actually be able to sleep in the guest bedroom downstairs and use the bathroom!
