Must Stop Working

This weekend was really crazy. I got into a fight with Chris on Friday night because he went out with his mom, leaving me alone to work on the basement. I was fine with him going out for a bit, but when he didn't come home until 10:30 pm, and I knew he'd head straight to bed since he had to work the next morning, I wasn't happy. Especially since I had found all this Simpsons stuff at Target (he's a crazy Simpsons maniac) and put it together in this cool Simpsons gift bag with a guitar playing Homer on the front with the words "You're never too old to Rock" but he didn't even notice it sitting on the counter for him. So he left for work on Saturday morning and didn't even say goodbye, making me more upset. I had a wedding to work that morning and I wasn't home until evening. I was so exhausted, but I still went downstairs and painted more in the basement. Finally, when hunger became too much to bare, Chris offered to take me out to dinner. We changed and went to Longhorn, and we actually had a really nice time, considering the fight the night before. We talked about things we've never talked about, and I learned so much about him. We laughed a lot. While I didn't necessarily just want to go right home after dinner, it was a good idea since I'd already had two glasses of wine and was so tired. We watched some tv with the dogs, Chris finally saw his Simpsons gift bag full of Simpsons goodies, and then went to bed. Sunday was busy too because we woke up and started working right away in the basement, but then I had to leave at 1 pm to photograph a baseball game. When I got back home around 5:30, I worked more in the basement and was so tired that I could barely eat dinner. That's okay though because when I got up to check on something, one of my dogs found the chicken to be more than appetizing and stole it right off my plate! While the weekend was non-stop working, I'm so glad painting is almost done in the basement! Chris and I are looking at carpet today after work. Also, I have an interview on Wednesday for a job I really want, so wish me luck if you read this. Oh, and for those who read my previous blog, I gave Chris the list, and I think it might be useful - he actually read it, so that's a huge start!
