Slowly down, I swear!

I'm definitely going to focus on slowing down, now that things are starting to get into order. I don't even remember what my husband's personality is like without having a million things going on. It's been 4 months now that we've been finishing our basement, and I think we both know it's now time for us. I still work weddings on Saturdays, and I still take on freelance jobs, but I'm going to be more particular about what I do so I have more free time. I took two days off work this week, Wednesday for my job interview and Thursday to hang out with my friend and her baby in Cincinnati. Although I didn't use my time off work to relax, I did enjoy the chance to catch up on some things and finally spend time with people who are important to me.
The interview went well, in my opinion, but I haven't heard anything yet. If I don't get the job, I think it will be because they think I'm not ready or experienced enough for that level of work. I hope to hear something by today. The worst thing is that I was hoping I'd become sort of apathetic about the job after the interview, after learning what it really involved, but it's the total opposite. Since the interview, all I can think about is how much I really want the job, and how I'm actually emotionally attached to getting it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
The day with my friend and her 10 month old was awesome, although I'm extremely exhausted from all the running around. We went to the zoo, met up with her husband for lunch, ran errands, and got some ice cream. I got some great photos of Alex. I'm going to update my photo albums today, in case anyone is interested. New basement photos (even though the ones I'm posting aren't even close to being representative of where we are now - I need to take new photos since we've primed and painted), pictures of my pups, and pictures from Cincinnati with my friend.
Update on basement, for those interested. Picked out carpet, and of course it's WAY more than we wanted to spend, but the colors match our wall colors perfectly and we couldn't compromise on that one. They are installing it on Wednesday. I have to take another day off work, what a shame. The walls and touch-ups with paint are all done. We are installing the bathroom sink and toilet this weekend. Chris finished up with the electric (lighting) yesterday. I'm so excited. Lastly, we will be buying wood trim moulding, staining it, then putting it up. We now need a dining room table (our first! we didn't have room for one before) and a futon for the basement.
