I'm now a pill-popper

Posted Tuesday, October 09, 2007 12:06 PM

I started my Clomid last night.  It was a surreal experience.  And I experienced it alone because my husband was too consumed with the Buffalo Bills football game.

("It's the first time the Bills have had a Monday night game in 15 years!!!!")

I still take my prenatal vitamin every morning, take this Clomid for five days, and now I take Evening Primrose three times a day, supposedly to increase or help the CM that may be affected by the Clomid.  It's a lot of pills.  They don't even fit in my pill case anymore.  And this is not taking the Allegra-D twice a day that I should be taking (for year-round allergies) because the pharmacist mentioned that I shouldn't take it while TTC and/or pregnant.

On top of all of that, I'm drinking Green Tea.  I don't know what the Green Tea is supposed to do...just that it should help do something.  I like Green Tea, so that I don't mind.  Geez, I'm a pill-popper now.  Coming from the girl who never takes a Tylenol for a headache or Motrin for cramps, never.

Best wishes with all of that!  I'm also the type who refuses to take medicine for headaches or cramps, so I can only imagine what this must be like for you.

Green tea has so many health benefits, some of the biggest being it can help protect against different types of cancer and that it helps cholesterol levels.  It also keeps your teeth healthy--woo!  ^.~  Did your doctor advise you to keep drinking it?  If so, what did s/he say about the caffeine in it?  I know it's relatively low, but I'm just curious about whether or not it could do anything to a baby.

Anyway, again, best wishes!

I dont know how you keep all of that straight! I would be forgetting and taking the wrong pill at the wrong time... I take allegra d also, but had no clue that I shouldn't be taking this while TTC.  Thank God for blogs :) The SIL is a pharmacist and would come in handy during this time, too bad we're trying to keep it hush hush and surprise everyone once it does happen.   Oh, and ya gotta love football season, its seems that the hubbies just disappear on certain days of the week.

I hope the Clomid will help to do the trick for you, I know you have got to be getting pretty frustrated!
