Starting to feel a little nauseated

Posted Thursday, December 20, 2007 12:58 PM

I have felt just wrong for a couple of weeks now.  But today, it's hit a whole new level.  I woke up fine but felt dizzy several minutes after getting out of bed.  I laid back down for about 10 minutes, then I got up with no problems.

Now at work I feel hot, coworkers are telling me that my cheeks are flushed, I feel like I should throw up but don't have the urge to, and I am extremely tired.

Either it's the whole dreaded morning sickness showing up, or I'm really getting sick...right before the holidays!  The fever blister should have been my warning sign and I should have taken note to sleep in, take it easy, drink lots of fluids.  Here I am 5 days later and I'm realizing what I should have done.

So I'm debating whether or not I should just go home early.  I could use some sleep.  My whole family is coming over to my house on Sunday for our Christmas...gotta really get in "shape" for this...and that means sleep, energy, and sanity pills are highly recommended.

Go home and get some sleep sweetie regardless of what it is. Of course you could just stick it out today and call in sick tomorrow so that you'll have a full day to rest and get things done before the fam gets there. And your coworkers willnt think a thing about it since they've said your cheeks are red. I hope you feel better either way.

Have you guys told the family yet or are you waiting awhile before doing that?

I'd recommend going home early - and maybe ducking out early tomorrow too! Resting's the best way to feel better, in my opinion.

I'm a little late, but I hope you're feeling a bit better now!  Be sure to follow your own advice on plenty of water, rest and sanity pills.  ^.~

re: Starting to feel a little nauseated

Sorry you are not feeling good - but I heard that morning sickness is a sign that the baby is growing and doing well - that could just be an old wives tale though to make it not sound so bad.  Try not to over do - I know that is hard around this time of year but try to just enjoy your holidays and relax with your hubby.
