What a PRINCESS!

Posted Wednesday, March 19, 2008 2:47 PM

I have two pups.  They are so freaking cute!

Below is Zelda, she's 3.  She's sitting in front of the space heater, her absolute favorite spot in the winter, watching TV.

Next is Ireland, she's about to turn 2.  She has grass all over her face from playing in the backyard right after my husband mowed.

Those photos totally represent their individual personalities.  They are both Yorkie Poodle mixes, although I personally think Zelda looks all Yorkie and Ireland looks all Poodle.

Ireland loves to play outside, whether it's cold, raining, blazing hot, or perfect.  In fact, she loves to burrow herself through snow piles, splash around rain puddles, and run frantically against the wind.

Zelda on the other hand, she's a total princess.  She can't handle the elements, any outdoor elements, at all.  She tiptoes around the backyard if there is the tiniest bit of snow, she can only stand to be out in the heat for about 5 minutes, and she literally refuses to go potty in the rain.

Which leads me to...it's been raining here non-stop since Monday.  And not a light shower, it's been pouring.  We can usually force Zelda to pee outside in the rain if we (not kidding, prepare yourself) go out there with her and hold an umbrella over her while she goes.  Yes, I know.  However, she will not poop.  She held her poop from Monday morning until this morning when I carried her outside, blocked her from getting back inside, and stood there cheering her on until she finally bit the bullet and pooped.  Whew.

She's more high-maintenance than Paris Hilton.

Very cute pups.  I  love Yorkies.  They are so adorable.  I love the ears.  They always remind me of Yoda ears.  I agree, Ireland looks more like the poodle, and Zelda definitely looks like the Yorkie

Hehe.  SO ADORABLE!  I'm not going to lie, my parents do the same thing (with the umbrella for the pup) with their dog, Dillon.

The cutest puppies! I got the messages, I didn't realize that I had set it so I had to approve every message. Going to change that right now.

re: What a PRINCESS!

Maybe when the baby comes her princess tendencies will calm down a little.

(Ha. I used to say the same thing about Ruby)

You have the cutest puppies!  I can identify with Zelda - I'm just like her!  We have a doxie.  A bad, spoiled, overweight weiner-dog!

re: What a PRINCESS!

Your dogs are too cute - I love them - I use to have to do the same thing with my dog - he would not go out in the rain - so I would have to take the umberlla and hold it over him - he was so spolied.
