The Good and The Bad

The good and the bad of my new maternity water aerobics class (2 days a week for 14 weeks at my gym):

1. Being in the water feels amazing.

2. Being in the water when it's about 20 degrees too cold is not so fun.

3. All that water swishing around makes you have to pee.

4. I miss the days of being able to pee in the pool (like you didn't do that when you were a kid...or just last summer at the beach...come on and admit it!)

5. The feeling of weightlessness helps you forget that you're 25 pounds "overweight."

6. When you get out of the water, the true heavy feeling of your body snaps you back to reality, especially since the water has essentially added an additional 10 pounds to your already 25 extra.

7. You check out all the other pregnant ladies and compare yourself to them.  It's nice when the lady due in October is bigger than you, but it's not cool at all when the girl who is your same size is due next month!

8. No need to suck in your belly.  When was the last time you stood by a pool in a bathing suit and didn't suck it in?

9. Exercising in a pool is way more comfortable on my enormous breasts than being on the elliptical.

10. Getting those breasts to squeeze into the maternity bathing suit I borrowed from my friend is a workout in itself.

You are a brave woman! I didn't go near a bathing suit while pregnant.

Love this post!  I was just reading on how great swimming can be during pregnancy, but it' fun to see the "cons" as well.  ^.~
