This weekend I saw my cousin who just had a baby 2.5 weeks ago (I posed her skinny-minnie picture in a bikini if you can remember - she started out at 102 pounds and only gained 20 the whole pregnancy - and no she's not 4'9" - she's 5'4" or maybe an inch

My son is testing the boundaries and trying out a new personality that I'd prefer he not explore. It's called the dramatic, panic-induced, temper-tantrum, freak-out, scream and cry, straighten the arms all stiff and storm off, throw body into wall or

I don't have a problem with the "When are you due?" or the "Is it a boy or a girl" type questions. I wrote that I get a slew of questions/sometimes-annoying-comments, meaning some are just questions and some are annoying comments. I was just listing everything

I knew I'd hear lots of questions/sometimes-annoying-comments when pregnant last time, including: "Is this your first?" "Oh my goodness, are you sure there aren't two in there?" "Are you having a boy or a girl?" "You look like you're about to pop." What

I have felt baby #2 a tiny bit. I have an anterior placenta so the intensity of any moves, kicks, or punches will be downgraded significantly, but at least I finally can detect there is something in there. I felt it mainly during my spa day yesterday

I might post this on my blogspot too once I settle on an official list, but for now it's just brainstorming. Reasons I want a boy: 1. Two boys growing up so close in age - just toss them outside and forget about 'em for a couple of hours. 2. Bunk beds.

Yesterday evening my mom, my sister, her boyfriend and his daughter, and her four kids met Chris, Boston, and I up at the park for my birthday. Chris bought me a Ben and Jerry's ice cream cake (yum) so we cut that up and served it while everyone played

We had our 20 week ultrasound today. All is good! I can't believe that my progesterone level dropped to miscarriage level at 5 weeks pregnant and I had to endure two months of progesterone suppositories and never really knew what to expect and today I

I received a call Wednesday morning that Boston had a 100 fever and I had to come pick him up from daycare. So I left work (the downside of being a working parent - missing a lot of hours for baby emergencies or appointments) and spent the day tending

And my cousin already had her baby 2 hours ago. Healthy girl, no name yet. I'm happy for them, of course, but extremely jealous - absolutely. How is it some people have EVERYTHING go well and some people have EVERYTHING go crazy? Can't we all just live

Photos of my very tiny almost 40 week pregnant cousin. I know, it's enough to make you vomit, right? The first is of her in a bikini, obviously, and seriously I think you could take a finger and just cover her pregnant belly and the rest of her body would

I’ve gained 12 lbs so far (of course that was at my last check up 3 weeks ago) and they already made me take my first gestational diabetes test. I just took the one hour Friday so I’ll probably get the results tomorrow. If I pass this time, I take it

With my first pregnancy, we had a lot of sex. Mainly because we had the time and the energy. For this pregnancy, sex in that first trimester was non-existent. But something has switched over inside of me the last week or two (I'm 20 weeks tomorrow) and

My cousin is 40 weeks pregnant. Her due date is tomorrow. She's having an elective induction tonight because she's afraid "the baby will get too big." She's super tiny and her belly is super tiny. She looks like she's maybe 7 months pregnant - I really

I haven't posted a photo is awhile so here are two pretty recent ones. He's getting all 4 one year molars so that's why he's been drooling and is so whiny sometimes. I can't believe we didn't notice them. The nurse practitioner showed us them yesterday

My mother-in-law defines "passive aggressive." She gets her very specific (and often not-so-nice) opinons across in very round-about ways. Like when she felt she hadn't seen Boston enough recently (it had only been 2 weeks), she made her point by saying

3 nights of sleeping in, 3 days of pool and ocean swimming. Oh it was wonderful. Of course Boston was perfectly fine without me. Chris said he's not sure he even noticed I was gone. I guess that's a good thing, but I'm a smidge jealous about that. My
