Wedding Planning Weekend (wouldn't that be every weekend?!)

We had a very productive weekend. But boy am I exhausted! We stopped by the Wyndham on Saturday to turn in the contract and make the deposit. Even though Fernando and I made the decision a few days earlier, actually turning in the contract made it seem so real. I was soo excited! What a big check off my list. Melissa told us a little about the upcoming tasting and about Kamini (they do the flowers and lighting for the Wyndham). Fer and I want to do uplighting and I think a gobo? would be cool, too. Melissa said Kamini does all that and they will be at the tasting with different setups. So we will be able to see their work and ask questions. I cannot wait!
Also after seeing some posts on the CFl board, I thought maybe a photobooth would be a fun thing to have at the wedding. Fer loved this idea. If we do this, I don't want to tell anyone. I want it to be a total surprise. I know for sure my sorority sisters will love this. We love taking pictures.
On Saturday we had to stop by the mall because Fer's Mac was acting up. We went to the Apple Store and they said we need to make an appt. So we had 2 hours to kill. We decided to stop by Macy's and start our registry. Soo much fun! It was not too stressful. We have similar tastes. We both are very modern. The biggest stress was the bathroom towel colors. This is where we disagree. I hate white towels, FI loves them. But we made a compromise (no white haha). Actually I got my way but he ended up being happy.
So we headed back to the Apple Store afterwards and we still had to wait. I decided to go online and my registry was already up! I started looking around the Macy's site for things to add that we might have missed. FI and I were looking at a page with vases and all of a sudden we both stop and say ooo. We were both eyeing the same vase. It's very modern and it was just so funny. We are perfect for each other.
Finally we headed home both exhausted from the day. Who knew registering would be so tiring?
Today was also a busy day. We drive to Tampa for our first ever bridal show. It was a madhouse in there. I didn't care much for the vendors because they were all Tampa vendors. Plus I have some idea of who I want to hire for video and DJ, and I already chose my photographer. But we went to every booth to try to win some prizes. We also registered at Bed Bath & Beyond. We were planning to do that anyway. But by registering there, we get a free photo album as long as we go to the store and actually put stuff on our registry within a month. We can definitely do that.
The other helpful thing was the honeymoon info. I am pretty much set on Sandals St. Lucia and FI doesn't really care that much. The other option would be Secrets somewhere in Mexico.
So we watched the fashion show and FI was more interested than I was. I guess since I already have a good idea of which dress I want, I didn't pay attention. I just paid attention to any comments FI made. But again, I already know what kind of dress he'd like on me. We stayed til the end. We didn't win anything, but at least it was free admission and we got a free photo frame and a couple other things.
What a non-relaxing weekend. Now I have to get back to work. This week we are meeting with Seth (videographer). Hopefully this DJ gets back to me because I want to meet with him, too. That's all for now!
