The DJ saga

Well I thought I had found my DJ. Guess again. Our venue requires the DJ to have insurance. The DJ does not have insurance (explains why the rates are a little lower) and he also wasn't willing to negotiate the price of the DJ lights. He also charged us his "2009 fee," which is $75 more than the 2008 cost. I know we are getting married in 2009, but we are booking in 2008. Every other vendor has given us the 2008 rate instead of predicting what their rate in 2009 wil be. So when we found out we needed him to have insurance, that was the deal breaker right there. Oh well, on to someone else.

I contacted another Orlando DJ that several local knotties recommended. We spoke on the phone for a few minutes and scheduled a meeting for next Tuesday. Let's see how this goes. I am excited and hopeful.

I have another DJ in mind, but I really prefer to have a Hispanic DJ. Although I don't need my DJ to speak spanish, I want someone who can identify in that respect with my guests (the majority are hispanic) and is well-versed in merengue, salsa, and bachata.

Stay tuned for updates. There will be plenty. More dress shopping this weekend! My twin sis is coming, I'm asking my bridesmaids to be mine (lol Valentine's Day), and I'm going to a bridal show on Sunday.

Oh one other thing. I'm taking epics at the end of March. Yay!!! We are gonna go around downtown Orlando and find pretty spots. Now I need to find something to wear. Hair is taken care of (scheduling my cut for that morning) and still trying to figure out makeup (I might do my own).
