My man and I met at a summer camp and have been inseperable ever since. He proposed in August of 06 and we are to be married in August of 08. I'm attempting to do this on a low budget in the most laid back way possible, but only time will tell how it really ends up.

I asked my youngest sister to be a bridesmaid at dinner last week, she said, "yes" and then "oh good, everyone's been asking me if I'm going to be in your wedding and I have to tell them 'she hasn't asked me yet, but I'll be offended if I'm not'"  Which is funny, because when I asked my friends to be bridesmaids they both said "I thought you'd ask your sisters"  Haha, little did they know I don't care if I have 6 bridesmaids :-)  The last one on my list to ask is my oldest childhood friend, I kind of asked her today, I can't seem to find in her in the real world, but I've been communicating with her online and I finally convinced her to join Facebook (all the rest of the bridesmaids are on facebook) and then invited her to a group E's Bridesmaids, so I figure that's kind of like asking her, lol.

In other wedding news, we picked our location.  We found a State park with a perfect amphitheater and seating aplenty, I have no more worries about the guest list, anyone and their mom can come (well, ok, maybe not anyone). It even overlooks a bluff and can easily be dressed up as a pirate ship :-)  And it's just over an hour away from our home town.  Now we have to decide if enough people will want to camp before and/or after, as had been my idea, but as my fiance put it "will the women want to sleep in a tent the night before a wedding?"  So we've started asking people what they think, my maid-of-honor said, "I'm not sure how maidenly I can be after sleeping in a tent" so it sounds like my fiance was right.

My mom is on her vacation now, hopefully she'll come back ready to give me lots of money ;-)  Maybe her old friend with the daughter getting married will make her feel guilty she doesn't want to help us out.  So, we've put figuring out the budget on hold, but I can't do anything else until I have a budget, oh well, that's why I've got 10 more months to plan the thing.
