My man and I met at a summer camp and have been inseperable ever since. He proposed in August of 06 and we are to be married in August of 08. I'm attempting to do this on a low budget in the most laid back way possible, but only time will tell how it really ends up.

So much for my plan

Once again I am humbled by my planning gone awry.  Will anything go as planned or should I sumbit to the idea that nothing I plan will work out?

We are having our wedding at a state park and they take reservations beginning the first business day of the year (today) by mail.  My grand scheme was for my fiance and I to drive to the state park on New Year's day, take a nice hike and drop off our rental applications (one for ampitheater, one for shelter).  Well... we ended up staying later than I imagined at our New Year's Eve party (until 4pm ish) (we partied at a cabin in the woods and spent New Year's Day sledding and visiting with our friends).  We didn't get to the state park until 5pm-ish, at which point I had already given up on the idea of a walk (which was fine, because we had a great day.)  However, when we go there, there was absolutly no place to put reservation forms.  No where.  Not one drop box, window, or door with a crack under it to slide them into. Ack!

If I'd known that I could have mailed them Friday or Saturday and they could have been there today, sigh.  So now I have to mail them today, and cross my fingers no one wants my date for their wedding...

Oooh, a state park!  I looked into this for our wedding, but found something else.  Which state park are you planning on using?  Sigh, I bet it will be beautiful!
