My man and I met at a summer camp and have been inseperable ever since. He proposed in August of 06 and we are to be married in August of 08. I'm attempting to do this on a low budget in the most laid back way possible, but only time will tell how it really ends up.

Patience...

Last night at the gym, for the first time ever, my fiance brought up our wedding unprompted by me.  It was kind of out of the blue, he asked if I was set on shades of purple for the color (uh, kind of...)  Then he said we should consider blue and green.  Blue and green because they match the surroundings (outside at a state park in the summer) and blue green because "your eyes are kind of blue and kind of green".  Awww!!  And here I was freaking out that he wouldn't talk to me about the wedding just a few weeks ago... patience E, patience... my life's biggest lesson.

re: Patience...

That's a great idea, blue and green would look beautiful together.  In my opinion, guys have to warm up to the idea of the actual wedding.  Glad to see he's coming around!

re: Patience...

I love your blog.  We are a bit alike I see.  I'll keep checking in with you to see how things are coming along.  Feel free to vent over my way if the mood strikes, I freakin' hate weddings too.  Our budget is not even clear either, and it's a bit nerve racking, although I do know what my parents are able to contribute, more or less what my Fiancee and I can manage to save, and I don't honestly know if we'll have enough.  All I can say is, this planning thing sucks.  But at least, Steve is supportive and happy to discuss the wedding when I need to.  Hoping to  read that your dear fiancee continues to come around...  One big vitual hug to you, relax and breathe, repeat this mantra when things get crazy:  "martha stewart I am not, and thank freakin' God for that, everything will work out in the end"  LOL
