Still alive, just not much progress...

No, no, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, although I did kind of fall off the wedding planning wagon. Finding the chip in my diamond seems to have broken my unhealthy obsession with wedding planning, perhaps I'll be calmer as I move forward. (I was also very busy at work planning for an event that happened yesterday.)
Nothing has progressed though. We need to go out to the park to measure if we can have a bigger tent than my co-worker had, we also need to count how many tables are out there and figure out how many we should rent. I haven't planned the rehearsal dinner, which M's dad said needed to be done before they commited to a sum of money to give us for the wedding. So, really, nothing has happened, other than my mom pissing me off a few times. (Yeah, because she couldn't understand why I thought renting plants was not a fiscally responsible idea, she suggested that M and I double our original financial commitment... no mom, I have no problem with planning the wedding to the budget, if you want a big fancy wedding with rented plants, you put in more.)
Our jeweler said the rings would be ready in two weeks, I lost count but I think it's been four, maybe 5, and we haven't heard from them. My wedding dress they said would take 12-16 weeks and we're coming up on 16 weeks... (I'm being patient though) I almost wish I had chosen a simpler dress, I mean, the dress I got is awesome, but honestly, it's going to cost an arm and a leg to alter and it's probably too fancy for the rest of the wedding, but oh well, it's what I picked.
So, just trying to be more laid back. I have a bridesmaid dress shopping trip in a couple weeks, that should be...nice... I guess... I thought they would all just pick their own dress, but they seem to want me present during the trip, nice of them, but, eh, I don't know... I picked my three best childhood friends, but through this process it's becoming more clear that our childhood is over and we have very little in common anymore... fitting I guess....
I saw some of the pictures that my sister's friend took (my sister's friend who might be able to photograph our wedding) they were AMAZING, the girl had to make sure her schedule was clear that day... I hope it is :-) She's only 19, but hey, if you got talent, you got talent... and I think she knows we can't pay her much if at all. So, I hope that works out :-)
I should probably get started on the invites... my sister (a freshman in art school) originally said she'd do them, but she doesn't feel comfortable doing what we'd like to see (I'm not really sure why not), so now it's up to me.... I guess... those should probably go out at some point, lol...
We won't be going to check out the park the next two weekends, M is taking a lifeguard instructor course, but maybe after that, it's gotta happen sometime, and hopefully sooner rather than later so I can add tent/tables to the budget and move on to something more fun.
