Oy.

Mark and I did end up going out on the AT, but we didn't get very far.  We only went about 7 miles in, then we turned around.  And all I had to show for it was a big blister and sunburned knees.  Oh, and I couldn't walk for a few days afterwards because my muscles were so sore.  But it was fun, and I'd like to try again sometime :)

As far as the wedding goes, we have the DJ booked, and my friend's MIL is doing our hair, so there are two more things figured out!  Tonight I need to call my MOH, my photographer, and my friend who's getting married on the 28th.  I need to reschedule the dress-trying-on because I just found out that I have a graduation party to go to that day, and my BM who lives in Buffalo actually wants to come try on dresses with us and she's in a wedding the day before.  (I was just going to pick a David's Bridal color and let everyone try on and choose their own at their own stores since they're all so far away, so I didn't expect anyone besides me and the MOH to be trying stuff on all at once...happy surprise!)

I need to call my photographer, who is also my cousin, because I haven't talked to her since we last changed the date...although we did send a save-the-date, so she should know by now.  It just seems that I should talk to her myself and see what's up.  She's also supposed to be adopting a child or two in the near future, so I wanted to see how that was going.  Good luck, Paula!

My friend with the wedding coming up...I don't know if I really NEED to RSVP since I'm in the bridal party, but I thought I'd call her anyway.  I also need to see if I'm expected at any functions the next day because we're supposed to be having a bonfire at FI's parents' house.  Life just keeps getting crazier...thus the title of this post...oy.

And everyone and their mother seems to be jumping on the cookie bandwagon.  The idea was to make a bunch of cookies and cakes for dessert at the reception.  It has turned into a federal project.  Don't get me wrong, I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has volunteered to make cookies for this...I'm just afraid that we're going to be living off cookies for a month or so after the wedding!  We'll just have to send everyone home with a box of cookies.  And it's definitely better to have too much than not enough!

Oh, and one other thing...we've decided to skip the alcohol at the reception.  It would have been WAY too expensive!  Although there has been talk of a 'special guest room' for those who are staying at the hotel, are over 21, and want a little 'adult refreshment'.  Not sure if that's going down, though.  I want to make sure that no one can get arrested or anything for that before I commit.

Until next time, when I hopefully have colors chosen and all the hotel stuff worked out, take care of yourselves!
