so good to have DH back at home

DH was gone for 2 weeks in Africa with Engineers Without Borders. They went to build a water distribution system with a solar-powered water pump and accomplished it! DH was happy and enjoyed his time over there.

But it's been so good to have him back to hug and kiss and cuddle with. Last night we walked a couple miles to a video store to rent the movie Breach. We made popcorn and cuddled on the couch. It was exactly what I had been longing for!

We're coming up on three months on the 19th and I can't help but think "We've made it through 3 whole months of marriage!" A couple that we're friends with who got married at the end of June summed up marriage well: "It's sometimes hard but it's always good." DH and I are still getting used to each other's lifestyles and unique quirks/habits. We're learning to live together while keeping our own interests. We're learning to serve one another and put the other before ourselves. Another day means another lesson. I'm just thankful that it's not all hard lessons--some of marriage is just being amazed at the man DH is and thanking the Lord that I am married to him. I feel so incredibly lucky that I can't put it into words. I love reading all the blog posts about husband's being loving and thoughtful to their wives. That's what marriage is supposed to be like!

About Happy2BeKathyKluthe

In May of 2004, I found out what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and it changed my entire life. I owe everything--including my husband--to Him and His work on the cross.
