It's been a long time...

Since I wrote in my blog. But I'm back! Since my last post at the end of September, a lot has happened. I got a new job at the same non-profit ministry I was temping at before. I took the full-time position that I was temping for and then another--and better--position opened up in the Creative Services department. So now I'm working there and I love it! I finally have a job that incorporates my journalism degree and lets me work with the creative aspect of our ministry. DH is still working at the water resources engineering firm he started with. He likes it there and works with a lot of really great people.
We have also gotten more involved in our church and gotten to know a lot of great friends. We are involved in a care group (bible study) that meets every other week and I have a women's group that meets every week that we don't have care group. I'm glad that I'm getting to know some other women better because I miss my good girlfriends from back in MN!
I have also started to teach English as a volunteer to a woman named Alma. Tomorrow night will be our second meeting and I'm very excited. I've never taught anything besides "school" to my younger brother when I was in elementary school so this will be a new, challenging experience. I love Hispanic culture and think that I will enjoy teaching.
DH and I have decided to start looking for houses. Our apartment lease ends in August so we're hoping to find a house by May or June. We are pretty much on the same page as far as what we want in a house goes. I would like to hire a realtor so that we don't have to work so hard to find a house that we like and is within our price range but DH isn't quite as sold as I am on a realtor.
I've been having baby fever lately! Our care group leaders have the cutest 1-year-old daughter and it makes me want to have a baby of our own. But DH is still planning on going to grad school part-time this fall so I think we will have to wait a couple more years before TTC.
In the meantime, I will enjoy having lots of free time and the freedom to go anywhere at anytime with DH at the drop of a hat! Hopefully we'll go skiing next weekend at Keystone!
